Livelys is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, customers often remark on the lively energy as soon as they walk through the door. Imagine being greeted by cheerful staff who are not only passionate about their food but also belt out classic Disney songs as they take your order—a true reflection of their lively spirit.
The menu boasts a delightful fusion of breakfast and barbecue that caters to all tastes. Start your day right with their satisfying Omelette Scramblers, where the country ham and cheese option alongside Texas toast and a side truly stands out. Patrons rave about the Bacon Biscuit and the rich, velvety gravy that has become a local favorite. It's no wonder loyal customers like Clay Powell make it a point to stop by for breakfast whenever they're in the area.
As for lunchtime or dinner, Livelys does not skimp on the barbecue. The aroma of smoking meat wafts through the air as you approach. The pulled pork plate and the mouthwatering beef plate are the stars of their smokehouse offerings, and visitors can't help but appreciate the tenderness and flavor packed into each bite. As one enthusiastic diner, Michael Behill, noted, a recommendation for the "Hot Mess"—a dish featuring tender BBQ and homemade chips—quickly elevates your meal into something extraordinary.
But it's not solely about the food; it's the inviting environment that makes Livelys a must-visit. Many have described it as a small, rustic hole-in-the-wall, exuding warmth that feels like home. The praise for their exceptional service is echoed throughout customer reviews, where friendly staff ensures that your experience is enjoyable from start to finish.
Whether you're dining in, on-the-go, or enjoying their outdoor seating area, Livelys BBQ and Breakfast invites you to bask in the flavors of the South. “ We found this little gem on road trip to the beach. Wonderful breakfast. Wife loved omelette. I had some of the best gravy I’ve ever had . Hope to time it right on the way back for the BBQ! ”
“ We were headed through on our way to my dad's wedding and decided to stop at Lively's. They sure live up to their name. We walked in and the ladies were taking orders and singing along to Disney songs. It was amazing. It's been a long time since I've walked into a place that was so full of energy like that. The barbecue was delicious as were the sides and the sauce. Such good service and friendly staff as well. ”
“ We came to Cedartown for a wedding and stayed nearby on S. College. I'd done a little research on food options in the area since we weren't going to have a lot of time for cooking. I'm glad I found this place. The breakfast is priced well and delicious. The biscuits are delicious and they've got all the options you could hope for. I opted for fried bologna, eggs, and grits. Breakfast was so good, we came back for lunch and I bought a shirt. The barbecue was fantastic, and I take that seriously as a native North Carolinian. Their vinegar sauce is what I'd call Lexington style, the carolina gold sauce is great, and my wife loved the sweet and smokey. They've got fried okra and brunswick stew which was great as well. I opted for the drivethru in the morning, but ordered at the counter for lunch. There is seating, but I could see it getting pretty full at peak times. The staff were super friendly and got everything just right. I was telling all my family about the place and they were like yeah, we know it's great. We'll be back next time we're down in Cedartown. ”
“ Great place a hole in the wall gem!!!! ”
“ Stopped at this hole in the wall barbecue place on our way to Alabama. What a little gem. You can see the smoker in front of the small restaurant. The place feels warm and inviting. Very rustic. The owner gave us plenty of time to make up her mind. We ordered the beef plate and the pulled pork plate. They do not have brisket but the beef was just as good if not better. The place was packed, it was around 11:30. I also noticed a steady stream of people going through the drive-through. Our food arrived quickly. I loved the large selection of barbecue sauces that were available. The one labeled “Shack” is an absolute hit. The food could have been a bit warmer but overall the quality was good. The Brunswick stew resembled more a soup than a stew, a few more ingredients would’ve been great. The owner came out and asked if everything was OK. Very friendly and attentive. I love these little hole in the wall places. Keep up the good work! ”
